Mouth to Mouth est l’album solo du romain Marco Cattani, alias The Mark. Son EBM distinctive, teintée de synthés marqués et de basslines acides, fait directement référence à son travail sous Halo Effect. Écouter les titres du trio italien donne une idée évidente sur les inspirations synth-pop et new wave de The Mark. En solo, The Mark se tourne vers des atmosphères plus profondes, breakbeat et autres éclats vocaux insaisissables. Cattani expérimente agréablement, tout en restant cohérent dans son propre univers: un mélange d’atmosphères énergiques et tendues, de rythmes mécaniques froids et de melodies vivantes.

Mouth to Mouth is a solo album from Rome-based Marco Cattani aka The Mark. His distinct EBM sound tinted with playful synth and acid basslines hints at The Mark’s work within Halo Effect. Listening to the Italian trio act gives an obvious perspective on The Mark’s synth-pop and new wave inspirations. However, in the absence of a lead singer The Mark is free to lean toward deeper atmospheres, breakbeat and sprinkles of elusive vocal samples. Cattani feels refreshingly free to experiment, while remaining coherent within his own universe : A blend of energetic and tense atmospheres, cold mechanical beats and lively melodic leads.
